Life Through Peach-Coloured Glasses

Can tinted peach or orange shaded glasses really increase melatonin levels in the brain and help you sleep? When I heard this I had to find out if it was fact or fiction!

Well it turns out that it is not that simple. The glasses do not increase the neurotransmitter melatonin, but help to correct our circadian rhythm (24 hour biological clock) just as a sunset would do. It wouldn’t hurt to put a pair of orange tinted readers on and read a book to aid your sleepiness.
